Julbo has crushed it with the Forest Evo by introducing a few small details that make a big difference. Of course it checks all the fit, ventilation, and safety boxes...that much can be assumed of any decent bike helmet these days, but what sets Julbo's offering apart is the sunglass management system and Fidlock chin strap. The integrated sunglass sleeves provide the most secure storage solution I've experienced, literally locking them into place, especially when you store your glasses facing forwards with the visor locked down on top of them. I've definitely bounced glasses off my helmets in the past and have zero concerns about doing so with the Forest Evo. The Fidlock chin strap is a nice touch as well. Lastly, I personally love the looks of the Forest Evo and combined with a pretty darn competitive price point, it punches above its weight.

This helmet is great. I do a lot of riding on Vancouver Island. It is hard to wear eye protection due to winter riding conditions causing the best of glasses to fog up. With the glasses holder on the helmet, I can keep my glasses safe on the uphill and have protection on the downhill. I often try and ride light, so I don’t ride with a pack, and thus taking glasses on my ride has always been an issue, but no longer is an issue due to this helmet. It is also super comfortable. Many helmets I have tried in the past (Troy Lee, Giro, Smith) the helmet hits the glasses on the downhill, but this helmet I don’t have any glasses helmet contact! It works really well with the Julbo Fury’s.

I have a smaller head so many helmets make it look like I'm wearing a watermelon. The Forest Evo fits well and looks cool. Besides looks, it feels secure covering my head well, plus has additional security with Mips. The sunglass holder is extremely secure and easy to use, housing my shades backward and upside down. The visor and shape around the ears protect me from sun. Great helmet, makes it fun to ride!

After a year with the Forest EVO, I can confidently say it's my favorite helmet that I've owned. The fit and ventilation is dialed and I often forget I have it on my head. The eyewear storage is super convenient and secure, and I don't worry about losing glasses while out on my bike! Would recommend to any rider.
