Tips and Tricks

Storing Your Julbo Sunglasses

To keep your Julbo sunglasses in tip-top shape, it’s best to store your sunglasses in a protective case. Leaving sunglasses on a car dashboard or storing them on hats or helmets in hot weather for prolonged periods of time may reduce their lifespan.

Cleaning Sunglass Lenses

For the best results, we recommend gently removing the lenses from the frame before cleaning. This helps prevent any water or soap from getting trapped between the lenses.

Cleaning Goggle Lenses

We recommend giving your lenses a gentle wash with warm water and mild soap. Then, just set your goggles out to air dry — easy and effective for keeping them in pristine condition.

Adjustable Temple Arms

For the temple adjustment, it does require a little force to get the temples moving. We usually suggest placing the glasses in front of you, oriented as if you are putting the glasses on. Then, place your thumb on the top of the temple and wrapping your hand around the temple. With your other hand, hold the frame. Apply pressure with the thumb to bend the temple where you want them to adjust. You can even move you other hand down the temple to get a more precise adjustments.

Regular Removing Lenses/Swapping Lenses (Special Instructions for Vermont Classic, Cham and Performance Models Below)

Removing lenses: Lenses pop out away from the sunglasses. Push with your thumb on the inside bottom part of the lens. They should pop right out. If not, warm up your frame a little in some warm, but not scalding water. This will loosen up the frame a little and make it easier to pop those lenses out.

Installing new lenses: The new lenses go back in the opposite way they are removed; start with the top corners of the lens and push with your thumb (maybe both thumbs) so all the corners pop into place, should hear a nice click. Do a little flex test to make sure everything is secure by gently flexing the frame a little, and you're good to go.

Vermont Classic Lens Swap

Be careful—don’t let the screwdriver slip and scratch your lens. Work over a table so small parts don’t vanish, and make sure your hands are clean to avoid smudges or scratches.

To remove the lens, loosen (don’t remove) the top frame screw with a small flathead. Rotate the lens to see how it lines up with the side shield, then gently pop it out through the front.

To install another lens, align the lens bevel with the side shield. It can take some finesse, so be patient. Once everything’s in position and comfy on your face, tighten the screw and check that the side shields are even. Adjust as needed—and you’re good to go!

Cham Lens Swap

Like the Vermont Classic, be careful that the screwdriver doesn't pop off and scratch your lens! It is probably a good idea to work over a table so that parts are not damaged or lost on the floor. Also make sure your hands are clean so you don't scratch the lens with dirt/residue from your fingers.

First, pop off the side shields so they are out of the way. Using a small flathead screwdriver, loosen the frame screw. This is the larger of the two screws (closest screw to the lens, has grooves). You may need to also loosen the temple screw slightly so the frame opens up enough to pop the lens free.Once you have the lens out, place the new lens in and tighten up those screws in reverse order (temple screw, then frame screw). Make sure the lens is seated properly and is not shifting at all.

Performance Sunglass Lens Swap

Density, Intensity and Frequency: The Density lens is attached to the frame at 3 points: at the right temple, at the left temple, and on the nose bridge. The lens "hooks" into the frame at each temple via a small lens tab.

Temple Arm Repair

It’s quick and easy! Using a small screwdriver or flathead, carefully remove the screws holding your current temple arms in place. Align the new temple arms so the holes line up, then use the screwdriver to secure the screws. Voilà—your sunglasses will be good as new!
