Road To Emporia: Ian Boswell's Unbound Advice

For the fastest racers, the Unbound Gravel 200 is a 10-hour effort. Others race the sunset while even more race midnight. And for former World Tour cyclist Ian Boswell, the race is different than any other. “In Unbound, for 99 percent for the race, you’re racing against yourself,” says Boswell. “You’re really just trying to look after yourself—your equipment, your nutrition, your body, your mind.”
Boswell’s advice for a successful Unbound?
“Regardless of if you’re trying to win the race or just trying to finish,” he says, “ultimately you have to look after yourself if you want to make it back to the finish line in Emporia.”
