How to Properly Clean and Care for your Julbo Eyewear

Eyewear is an integral part of any outdoor activity. Properly cleaning and caring for your eyewear can keep them functioning at their best. Learn the recommended techniques for keeping your Julbo product functioning properly for their entire lifetime.

Performance eyewear and helmets help us enjoy our favorite outdoor activities, but without proper care even the best products can deteriorate. Properly cleaning your eyewear and helmet can prevent damage and prolong their lifetime. Read on to learn how to best take care of your Julbo products.

SUNGLASSES :

To clean your Julbo sunglasses, use a soft microfiber cloth or other non-abrasive material. Start by gently washing the frame and lens in soapy water, then rinse with clean water and wipe away any remaining moisture.

Avoid using solvents, chemical cleaners, paper-based products, gloves or other abrasive materials that may permanently damage the lens.

Once you’ve finished cleaning, let the lens and frame air dry before putting them away. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or next to a heat source, as this may cause damage to the frame or lens. Always remember to store your sunglasses in their microfiber case/pouch.

GOGGLES :

For Julbo snow and bike goggles, always use a soft surface—such as a microfiber cloth—and clean the outside of your lens first. Dampen a cloth and gently rub the lens's surface, then remove any remaining moisture with a dry microfiber cloth.

The internal surface of all goggle lenses is treated with an anti-fog treatment. Using a damp cloth or wiping the lens when it’s covered in fog or snow may increase the chances of fogging. In this case, shake the goggle to help the moisture slide off. Wait a few moments, then gently clean the lens with a damp cloth.

Again, avoid solvents, chemicals, paper-based products, gloves or other abrasive materials that may permanently damage the lens.

Make sure to let the lens air dry before putting the goggles away. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or by a heat source, as this may cause damage to the frame or lens. Remember to always store your goggles in their microfiber case/pouch.

HELMETS:

To clean your helmet, start by wiping the openings and vents with a cotton swab moistened with mild soapy water. Then dry gently or leave it to dry on a towel.

Let the helmet dry entirely before putting it away. Do not leave it in direct sunlight or by a heat source, as this may cause permanent damage.
